The graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Szeged will take place on Friday, July 4, 2025, at 10 am - and the event will be broadcast live on YouTube again this year!

In the summer heat, there could not have been a better way to celebrate: the newly graduated dental students took a dip in the fountain in Dugonics Square, as tradition dictates.

A captivating exhibition titled Forever Forward, celebrating the life and work of Katalin Karikó, has opened at the Josephinum, Vienna’s Museum of Medical History.

The Hungarian Dental Association hosted a three-day conference titled Perspectives in Perio-Implantology and Comprehensive Dentistry, which brought together international experts. Approximately 800 dentists and dental assistants attended the event’s professional lectures and advanced training sessions. Among the accompanying programs were the presentation of a study on oral health education for the elderly and a discussion of a report on a joint project between the Hungarian and Ugandan dental associations aimed at improving dental care services in Uganda.

The University of Szeged warmly welcomes its international freshmen students at the start of the new academic year each year. After an official welcome by University leaders a variety of orientation programs including useful information sessions, cultural and recreational activities are welcoming SZTE Freshmen.
