Applicants are allowed to participate in maximum two examinations during the application period, if the chance is offered by the University of Szeged.
The Entrance Examination consists of a written and an oral part in Biology, Chemistry and English Language.
Absence from the entrance exam without a previous withdrawal is considered a used exam chance without valuable result.
Written part:
• The written entrance examination is conducted on the University’s online testing platform, CooSpace, and is monitored via Zoom.
• The examination is time-limited: candidates have 80 minutes to complete the test. There is no time limit per question, and you will see only one question at a time.
• Each test consists of three sections:
• 20 multiple-choice questions in Biology
• 20 multiple-choice questions in Chemistry
• 20 multiple-choice questions in English Language (General and Medical English)
• All questions are multiple-choice. For each question, you must select one answer from the four or five options provided. Once you have selected your answer, you may proceed to the next question.
• You can only move forward in the test; returning to previous questions is not possible.
• You can proceed to the next question only after selecting an answer; the “No answer” option cannot be chosen.
• The system will prompt you to confirm your selection by clicking “OK” before advancing to the next question.
• Each correct answer equals one point. No points are deducted for incorrect answers.
• For the Chemistry section, you will need a periodic table and a calculator. Please ensure you have these materials prepared before beginning the test.
Oral part:
• The oral part of the entrance examination — an interview with a University Professor — is conducted via Zoom and lasts approximately 20 minutes.
• After a brief introductory conversation on general topics, you will be asked two questions in Biology and two questions in Chemistry, all in English.
• The schedule of the oral examination will be announced after the written examination.
• Please ensure that you are dressed appropriately for the interview.
• The applicant's identity will be checked before the examination, therefore please make sure that you have your passport / ID card at hand.
• Please keep the schedule of both the written and the oral examination. In case of late login to any platform, or any part of the exam, applicants cannot join the examination.
• For both, written and oral parts of the examination the applicants are required to use two technical devices: the first one is the actual platform of the examination, the second one serves monitoring. Please make sure that the camera of the second device is set up in such a way that both the applicant and the screen of the first device are clearly visible.
• The use of any further technical devices is stricly prohibited (headsets, earphones, smart watches, personal digital assistants etc.).
• The applicant has to be alone in the room for the entire duration of the examination.
Any violation of the above procedure may result in cancellation of your scores, dismissal by the test center staff, or banning from future exams. Failing to log on the required ZOOM meeting while taking the written examination in Coospace, may result in an invalid test.

Each examination session can accommodate approximately 60 applicants. The first day of the session is reserved for the written test, while the second and third days are dedicated to the oral interviews.
Depending on the number of applicants, the announced examination dates may be extended to ensure that all eligible candidates have the opportunity to participate.
