To apply for a full-time English-language DMD programme at the University of Szeged, please carefully follow the step-by-step application guide.


Step 1 – Create or Access Your DreamApply Account


First, select the programme you wish to apply for, then click on “Apply Now” to begin your application and create your applicant account.
Please note that each applicant is allowed to register only one account in the online application system. After completing the registration process, an automatic confirmation e-mail will be sent to the address you provided, verifying your successful online registration.


If you already have an existing DreamApply account, simply log in, select your preferred programme, and click on “Yes, clone my previous application (recommended)”. Please carefully review your personal data, make any necessary updates, and provide additional information if required by the system.
In case you have a reference code, you can enter it by clicking on your name in the upper right corner of the page and selecting “Have a reference code?” from the menu.
* In case you are applying through a local represelative, please indicate the agent reference code. List of codes available at http://www.med.u-szeged.hu/fs/application-admission/representatives
Please note that only those representatives are eligible to represent the University of Szeged, guide you throughout the application process and provide you with relevant information, whom you may find listed on the official local representatives list.
* Should you not have a representative please use "No Representative" as your reference code.
* In case you are applying for exemption from the entrance examination, please use "EXEMPTION" as your reference code.
* In case you would like to transfer to the University of Szeged, you are requested to use "TRANSFER" as your reference code.


Step 2: Collect and upload the required documents


Please, note: documents are only accepted as attested copies in English language or as certificates with an authorized English translation.

1. Passport photo

2. Certified copy of your High School Diploma from an accredited high school and Transcripts listing all the subjects you have taken and the grades you have achieved.
Applicants who are in their final year of secondary education but have not yet received their School Leaving Certificate or Diploma are also eligible to submit an application and sit for the entrance examination. In such cases, applicants must provide official proof of current enrolment in their secondary school.
Applicants who wish to apply for exemption from the entrance examination must submit a certified copy of one of the following qualifications:
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
• General Certificate of Education (GCE) A2-level certificate(s)
• Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree accompanied by official Transcripts, listing all completed subjects and corresponding grades.
Please note that predicted grades are considered only for conditional acceptance.
The assessment of high school diplomas may vary from the standard entry requirements depending on the specific curriculum of the issuing institution.

3. Photocopy of your valid Passport (non-EU citizen) or Identification Card (EU citizen)

4. Curriculum Vitae
Please ensure that your Curriculum Vitae (CV) includes a recent photograph, your personal contact details, and an accurate summary of your educational background and qualifications relevant to the programme you are applying for. You may also include information on any previous employment or professional experience related to the field of study.
There is no mandatory format for the CV; however, as a guideline, you may create your CV online here 


5. General Medical Certificate
This document must be completed by your General Practitioner. The official form is available here.→link
Please note that the medical certificate must not be older than one year at the time of application submission.

6. Birth Certificate

Applicants must provide a photocopy of their Birth Certificate or another official document indicating their full name, date and place of birth, as well as their mother’s first and maiden (family) name.
This document must be submitted no later than after acceptance.


7. Motivation Letter
Your motivation letter must be typed in to the Motivation tab in your own DreamApply account. (The length of this letter should be between 800 and 4000 characters).


8. Reference Letter (optional)
Applicants may request reference letters from their current or former teachers, employers, or other professional referees. A scanned copy of the reference letter can be uploaded in the Documents tab of the application.
Alternatively, applicants may request automated reference submissions directly from their referees through the DreamApply system.


9. Statement of Representation
In case you have a local representative helping you through the application process, you are required to complete the statement. Official form is available here.
Please download the form, fill in, sign, have it signed by your local representative and 2 witnesses.
Please note that only those representatives are eligible to represent the University of Szeged, guide you throughout the application process and provide you with relevant information, whom you may find listed on the official local representatives list.
Should you not have a representative please tick the answer ’I do NOT have a representative’.


10. Proof of Payment: 300 EUR Application fee (non-refundable)
The application fee is a combined application and entrance examination fee that is to be paid only once regardless of the number of applied health science programmes (maximum 3 programmes) and includes a maximum of two examination chances in case it is offered by the University.
Online payment can be made through Simple Pay (available within the Dream Apply Application System).

Please note that commission charges have to be paid by the applicant.


Step 3: Upload the required documents


Please, carefully study the requirements in the "Checklist" in your Dream Apply, scan original documents in PDF or JPG format and upload them at the relevant task.

Step 4: Register for an entrance exam in Dream Apply


After the evaluation of your application documents, the Admissions Office will send an entrance examination invitation via the DreamApply system. Simultaneously, a new task titled “Register for an entrance examination” will appear in your account, allowing you to select and register for your preferred examination date.
Please note that the list of available dates in DreamApply indicates only the first day of the examination (written test). Oral interviews are scheduled on the following days, depending on the number of applicants.
Once you have registered for an examination date, it cannot be changed independently. If you need to modify your scheduled date, please contact the Admissions Office by e-mail at: entrance.fs@med.u-szeged.hu.

Step 5: Admission Decision and Document Verification


Admission decisions are made by the Academic Boards of the Faculty of Dentistry.
If you are admitted to the programme, you will receive an official Letter of Admission through DreamApply.
Please note that the original hard copies of all uploaded application documents must be mailed to the Faculty of Dentistry only after acceptance.
The University reserves the right to withdraw the admission offer if the submitted original documents do not correspond to the copies uploaded during the application process.
